About MacKenzie Thomas

My background is in environmental science, health & safety, ecology, environmental protection and sustainability. Additional qualifications include experience in the Asset Management industry, specific to liquid chromatography (LC) and mass spectrometry (MS) systems division. Previously responsible for directing operations, implementing new programs, scheduling and working alongside vendors, manufacturers and subcontractors for equipment maintenance at a customer site to assist end-users who are advancing science within the labs. Currently, I hold an EHS Specialist position and amongst other tasks, am responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards, collaborating with various departments to ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous chemicals and materials, investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence, and creating, managing, and maintaining all EH & S documentation and trainings all while balancing the needs of a diverse team and internal customers.
