About MacKenzie West

Having graduated from Carleton University in the Public Affairs and Policy Management Program with a specialization in International Security and Intelligence with a study focus in global food security, I have a strong academic and professional background. I have years of experience working for Members of Parliament in leadership roles and believe in developing public policy and legislation aimed at accountable governance. I have a passion for agriculture and agri-food policy and the future of our production industry in Canada from coast to coast. I have strong writing, advocacy and public speaking skills and have worked closely with elected representatives on important legislation within the House of Commons. I am currently furthering my education by completing the Master of Political Management degree at Carleton University, to further my knowledge of procedure, the role of government and better understand political spaces.
