About MacKenzie White

I am a driven second-year accounting major at the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, passionate about learning and building my leadership, problem solving, and communication skills. In addition to an accounting degree, I am pursuing a certificate in Business Spanish, which gives me the ability to effectively communicate in an increasingly diverse business environment.Throughout my academic journey, I have developed hands-on experience as a leader. As a Lead Instructor at SafeSplash Swim School, I gained valuable insight into being a leader by mentoring and evaluating instructors, to ensure high quality instruction. I learned how to communicate effectively, manage people in a dynamic environment with ever-changing challenges, and motivate others. In addition, I have furthered my leadership experience through being Project Manager of my Learning Community, in which I led my team in a SWOT analysis project. In this role, I assigned tasks, organized timelines, encouraged collaboration, and ensured the work we presented was high quality.I am excited to pursue opportunities where I can grow both my accounting and leadership skills, as well as incorporate my language skills into my job.
