I build fast, observable, reliable platforms and distributed systems. Language-agnostic and outcome-driven: I choose Go, Java, or whatever best fits the job. Recent work spans seismic simulation (Java 17+/JavaFX) and an internal PostgreSQL observability/log analytics platform (Go + Tailwind + ECharts) adopted daily across teams. I like turning complex, noisy systems into clear signals - then making them faster. MESA SimSurvey (Sercel): Core engineer owning architecture, core algorithms, performance, and JavaFX UI for seismic survey design & simulation. Delivered a modular Java 17+ app (Maven, embedded H2) with interactive 2D/3D planning and modelling, built with profiling-led tuning and operator-centric UX. PostgreSQL Observability & Log Analytics: Sole designer/developer of a platform that fingerprints queries & libpq backtraces, correlates hotspots with code paths, and powers self-serve dashboards (performance, errors, index/table usage). Cut troubleshooting from hours/days to minutes; used daily by devs/DBAs across organisation; supports pg_bench-based benchmarking and configuration tuning. Data movement & reliability: Vessel-to-office transfer system for low-bandwidth/high-latency links enabling timely on-shore analysis. Reporting at scale: PDF dashboarding engine still used across multiple products. Technical leadership: Mentors engineers; leads design sessions, reviews, training, and documentation.
