Background

About MacLaya Hill

I have always valued my education. While a freshman at Marshall University, I found that I have a deep passion for science and studying medicine. The human body is fascinating and I narrowed my studies to respiratory system. I want to be in a career where I have the opportunity to save lives and help people breathe. I have great communication skills that will assist my ability to discuss treatment options with physicians and patients. Handling several tasks and deadlines can be stressful but I can multitask very well. My organization skills help manage my work load to ensure no deadlines are missed. One skill that is important while working with patients is dependability. I will not leave work until all my patients are assessed and stable. I will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for my patients and colleagues. I want to make a difference in people's lives. My education will take my RT career a long way. I have studied the human anatomy and I will know how to treat patients with this knowledge. The work may not be easy but it is so worth it."To know that even one person has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."- Ralph Waldo Emerson
