About Macy Krall

I’m Macy Krall! An entrepreneur, creative strategist, and small business advocate with over a decade of experience across the retail, wedding, and event industries. I specialize in launching and scaling product-based businesses that prioritize community, quality, and heart. I began my entrepreneurial journey by creating and later selling a successful vintage rental company in the wedding industry and also was a wedding photographer for 10+ years. Since then, I’ve founded two thriving brick-and-mortar shops in Eastern Iowa. 223 Vintage Co. in West Branch, IA: a curated mix of vintage goods, plants, and small-batch products from independent makers. 223 Baby Co. in downtown Iowa City: a high-traffic retail space focused on thoughtful, non-toxic, and beautifully designed baby and toddler items. We carry everything from organic clothing and handmade toys to books and gifts from women-owned and local brands. I’ve built both businesses with intention and resilience, launching one just weeks before a global shutdown and the other while 8 months pregnant. I also manage content strategy and take product/shop images for multiple small businesses, blending strong visual storytelling with smart retail instincts. When I’m not in the shops or behind the screen, I’m raising two daughters, cheering on fellow small business owners, and finding creative ways to bring people together, online and on Main Street.
