About Maddie Kothe

Maddie Kothe is an aerospace engineer, leader, and adventurer. Through life, Maddie has been guided by her constant curiosity, belief in supportive communities, and desire to make an impact. After growing up in Wisconsin with summers on the lake waterskiing, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and was selected as a Brooke Owens Fellow. As she joined the aerospace industry, she proudly immersed herself in a career of astronauts and spaceships, playing a pivotal role in the historic return of human spaceflight to the United States. Beyond her remarkable career, Maddie exhibits a deep passion for embracing new adventures including receiving her private pilot license, scuba diving, wingwalking, and swimming with orcas. Maddie's adventurous spirit and belief in the transformative power of a diverse community led her to delve into leadership, where she now manages a high performing team in an aerospace launch organization. Through leadership, her work now as a Board Member of the Brooke Owens Fellowship, and entrepreneurship, she found that the desire for purpose and meaning in your career is a shared human experience, yet, we often don't have the actionable steps or community where this can be explored authentically. This realization led to the desire to provide a space for women to grow, discover their inner strength, and become high performers in their professional lives. As the co-founder of Space to Empower, she strives to bring her own adventurous, strategic, and leadership roots together to empower women to step into their power.
