About Maddison Bisbee

I am an ABSN student pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Northern Kentucky University. I want to use my skills and passion for helping others in my community in a clinical setting. My projected graduation date is December 2023. Although I am still early in my nursing education, I know that I am passionate about women’s health and am interested in working in women’s health as a nurse after I graduate. I have previous experience as a Health Educator for the Indiana National Guard at the Holistic Health and Wellness Center (H2F), previously the Army Wellness Center. I provided preventative health education programs, physical fitness and nutrition coaching to enhance the health and well-being of active duty military, reservists, retirees, State of Indiana employees, their spouses and dependents. I have experience with body composition tests, such as the BODPOD and BodyMetrix, with resting metabolic rates, and with VO2 sub-max and maximal tests. Prior to being a Health Educator, I have experience in cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation as an intern. During this role, I worked with patients to help increase their physical strength, independence, and lead a long-term healthy lifestyle after their cardiac or respiratory event. I also have experience as a certified nurses assistant, where I worked on a memory care unit. My first degree is a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from Marian University, Indianapolis, with minors in Global Studies, Psychology, and Biology. I am a Lugar Fellow Scholar and National Society of Leadership and Success member. I also work part time at The Eagle Restaurant in Cincinnati, OH.
