About Maddon H.

Hello! I'm Maddon Hoh-Choi, a Berkeley Economics and City Planning student. I was born and raised in Silicon Valley. Understanding the intersection of technology and placemaking in real estate is my guiding academic and personal principle. My passion is fostering partnerships within the public, private, and social sectors to build stronger communities. Ending housing insecurity is my dream. I have experience working with start-up companies, nonprofits, and elected officials at all levels of government. I recently finished my final term as a Youth Ambassador for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In the past, I've interned or advised San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, California State Senator Dave Cortese, and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo. I’m an experienced author, publishing a children’s book and an AI policy memo in the Library of Congress. For Asian American Heritage Month 2022, my family and I published a children's book on Andrew Yang, winning a national award. In 2023, I was a guest speaker for the Asian American Women Youth Leaders Summit. In my free time, I enjoy reading comics, biking, and exploring new cities.
