About Maddy Meredith

My greatest passions include wildlife conservation and education. I am currently working as a veterinary nurse in a wildlife hospital full-time. I dedicated recent years to voluntary roles to be a voice for wildlife, and better my skills within the animal industry. Within local organisations, I had multiple roles including the position of Training Officer, NSW Wildlife Council representative, Administration and Data collection and reporting. I was also active in the rescuing and rehabilitation of native species, particularly orphaned mammals including flying-foxes, macropods and small marsupials. Through TAFE NSW I completed my Cert II, Cert and most recently, my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing - Focusing on Wildlife. During my 18 month VN studies, I was fortunate to have work placement one day a week at three clinics. Upon completion of my Cert IV, I registered with the VNCA’s AVNAT scheme and renew my membership annually. I have been privileged to have experiences as a volunteer and employee. I strive to continue learning and developing in-clinic and in-field skills and knowledge to maximise my impact across the wildlife sector. I value working within a team and strive to support others so we can all better support wildlife and the environment.
