I am a highly experienced and competent expert in people and sales management, licensing sales and frameworks, sales excellence, operations and large deal negotiation. I have been dedicated to the Microsoft sales and licensing arena for over 15 years and has an understanding of the business complexities of sales and licensing and the collaboration and negotiation needed across many stakeholders in both parties, to close significant business deals. I was employed for more than 10 years at Microsoft and received my 10 Years Service Award. During my time here, I developed from an individual contributor and licensing expert to a strong business leader and coach in both the licensing, operations and sales excellence arenas. In 2010 I was awarded the respected Microsoft Worldwide Platinum Club Circle of Excellence Award for Licensing Management."Madelein was recognized for her dedication and action orientation with a drive for results that consistently sees her delivering, and often exceeding, her and her team’s commitments". I thrive on working with sales team members to achieve overall budgets and stretched targets. I was credited, in the 2011 financial year, for my efforts and role in the Enterprise sales team exceeding overall budget for the first time in 3 years in tough economic conditions with high customer satisfaction results. Following on from my first term at Microsoft; due to relocation to Cape Town and the role not transferrable, I accepted a niche specialist role within Dimension Data as the GM for Licensing; MEA. I delivered against objectives to create the Next Generation Dimension Data Licensing business in South Africa and Africa. I then pursued an opportunity to manage the Cape Town Microsoft business for Dimension Data Western Cape. As I was successful in the application; I managed the Di Data Western Cape Microsoft Solutions Line of Business for a couple of months; until the “call” to return to Microsoft where I managed the Corporate Accounts Coastal Region to gain direct sales experience. Following on from that; I was at First Technology Western Cape for 2 Years as the Software Services Director. In April 2017 I returned "home" in the Partner Sales Executive role and remained in the Microsoft Parther business, my passion, until now, where I currently hold the position as the Partner Marketing Advisor in the One Commercial Partner business. Marketing is Sales and Sales are Marketing!
