Background
About Madeleine Aceituno
In 2020 I graduated from the Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History with first class honours. During my degree I worked multiple jobs including as Brock University Campus Store Sales Associate and a Tutor in the Classroom through the Brock University Learning Lab and the Niagara Catholic District School Board. In my time at Brock, I completed an internship with Niagara Regional Housing in which I organized a Human Library to raise awareness and destigmatize homelessness in Niagara. In June I graduated from a Bachelor of Education at the University of Ottawa in the Junior/Intermediate division. I chose to become a member of the Urban Communities Cohort within my program as it allows me to utilize the skills I gained in my political science degree by taking a critical approach while examining the education system presently in place. I hope to crush systemic barriers and spark change for today's youth. I am presently employed as a full time contract elementary teacher for the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
