About Madeleine B.

I lead the integration of public value and social outcomes within institutional real estate investment, embedding social performance into long‑term assets and development portfolios. With 15 years’ experience spanning the private sector, institutional capital and government, I bring a place‑based, investment‑literate approach to social outcomes across the real estate lifecycle - from strategy and approvals through to delivery and asset management. My work centres on moving social impact from aspiration to business-as-usual in complex environments. My expertise includes social impact strategy and measurement, community resilience strategy, social policy development, community benefit frameworks, social procurement and community engagement. Earlier in my career, I worked across complex infrastructure, urban development, cultural and renewable energy contexts, operating within highly regulated and politically visible environments. I have worked in Australia, South Asia and the South Pacific, strengthening my ability to navigate diverse policy, market and community settings.I am known for big‑picture thinking, technical rigour and calm leadership in ambiguity - and for translating complex social concepts into clear, credible and decision‑ready strategies. I am motivated by strengthening capability, elevating practice and embedding social performance as core business.
