About Madeleine Morris

When you look different, you stand out from the crowd – whether you want to or not. As a child, my birthmark made me very self-conscious and shy. I spent a lot of time drawing and reading. Opening a book was like stepping into someone else’s head. The perfect way to escape my reality. Words were a drug and Roald Dahl my gateway. When I got older and braver, I decided that looking weird was wonderful. So, I had fun with my image shaving my hair off or dying it pink. I even did catwalk modelling – well I was at art school. I became a successful set designer and worked with amazing directors and choreographers. Then I moved into advertising and rediscovered my love of words. Since then, I have worked at some of London’s most prestigious agencies. I have been a featured ‘Lone Star’ in the Campaign Annual. I’ve won awards and judged awards. I’m a D&I campaigner, a keynote speaker and a guest lecturer on various advertising courses. Now, with years of experience overseeing creative output from initial strategy through campaign concept to final execution, across many platforms and disciplines, a passion for well-crafted copy, expertise managing teams and mentoring, I like to think it’s not just my face that makes me stand out.
