About Madeline Flaherty

I am a recent Masters of Public Administration graduate from NYU Wagner. I have honed my research, writing and policy analysis skills through coursework and previous experience. For instance, while interning with the United Nations Populations Fund, I supported the Diversity and Inclusion team in assessing current gaps in D+I focused internal programming, created training interventions to address those gaps, communicated best practices based on industry leaders’ research, all of which formed the basis for the updated D+I policies in the 2023 People Strategy. At NYU Wagner, my coursework culminated in the final year Capstone project, where my student team advised Global Dialogue on a strategic direction following Brexit. This project honed my skills in interviews, desk-based research, and long-term project management, with the presentation of a strategic recommendation to minimize the financial risks associated with Brexit. I am ready to transfer these skills into the public sector. I enjoy researching and analyzing creative solutions for complex issues and leveraging connections with relevant stakeholders.
