I am a Ph.D. candidate in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh specializing in finite element analysis (FEA), mechanical testing, and computational modeling of biomedical devices. My research focuses on simulating and validating the mechanical behavior of surgical meshes, integrating filament-level contact-sensitive interactions to predict device performance. I have hands-on experience leading translational research projects, conducting ASTM-compliant mechanical tests, processing microCT imaging, and developing finite element models using PolyFEM, Blender, and Houdini. I am passionate about science communication and translating complex research into accessible formats for interdisciplinary audiences.
