I am a confident, self-motivated individual passionate about continuous growth and leadership in healthcare. Throughout my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Queen’s University, I have actively pursued diverse opportunities to expand my clinical expertise, leadership skills, and operational knowledge in healthcare settings. My experience spans frontline patient care, specialized nursing placements, and leadership roles beyond the bedside. As a Clinical Nursing Extern at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, I strengthened my collaboration, communication, and technical nursing skills early in my career. I then gained valuable experience working with diverse patient populations through placements at One Roof Youth Shelter and Correctional Services Canada, further developing my ability to navigate complex care environments. Beyond clinical work, I have strengthened my leadership and communication skills as a fitness instructor at SpinCo Kingston, where I lead high-energy classes, motivate teams, and adapt to individual needs. Seeking to expand my impact beyond direct patient care, I worked as an Assistant to the Manager of Health Services at Correctional Services Canada, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams across mental health, physical health, and upper management. This experience provided valuable insight into healthcare leadership, policy, and operations. Currently, I am completing my final consolidation placement in Interventional Radiology at Kingston General Hospital and preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam. As I transition into a Registered Nurse role, I am eager to further develop my leadership and business acumen in healthcare, with the long-term goal of advancing into management, operations, and strategic roles.
