About Madeline Reichel

I am an incoming 1L at the University of Houston Law Center and a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned a double major in Government and Economics with minors in Social Work and Sociology. My passion for law is deeply connected to my commitment to child advocacy and my interest in working within the child welfare and CPS system. I am driven by a strong belief in the importance of protecting vulnerable populations and ensuring that legal systems serve those most in need. I approach every endeavor with precision and empathy, and I am eager to build a legal career focused on meaningful, people-centered impact. Currently, I am interning at the Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library, assisting with legal research and public programming. My prior experience includes serving as a Legislative Aide at the Texas Capitol and working at Bollier Ciccone LLP and Kean Miller LLP, where I supported legal teams through administrative and client-focused tasks. Outside of academics and legal work, I volunteer with Austin Pets Alive, supporting animal welfare efforts in the community. In my free time, I enjoy baking and playing pickleball as ways to recharge and stay active. I aspire to be an attorney who works with such grace and determination as those whom I have learned from. I am eager to continue along this rewarding career path and hope to make a lasting impact through my work.
