I am a Secwépemc/ Nłeʔképmx woman, born in the secwépemcùĺecw, raised in the nłeʔképmx Territory. I am proud to be living and working within my community, as this has always been a goal of mine. I started with Citxw Nlaka’pamux Assembly in June of 2020 and throughout my time I have learned effective capacity strengthening strategies that are built from community-based approaches that honor the knowledge and expertise within our communities. I have been developing my administrative skills over the past few years, demonstrated by supporting various levels of management over a diversity of settings, constructive communication, complex problem-solving, and information management. I believe these give me the building blocks to make a meaningful impact, working towards language revitalization and building nłeʔképmx identity. My goal is to always be contributing to our communities, to share our ancestors' knowledge and important teachings, and to build a strong foundation for future generations.
