Background
About Madison Bate
Professional Experience-Madison spent the fall semester of 2016 working under the advisory of Professor Larry Bloom. This experience lead to great leadership and time management skills. The exceptional collaboration skills gained from working with others solidified that being a medical professional was the right career path. As well Madison received her CPR/AED certificate thought the American Heart Association. As of 2018 Madison achieved her Emergency Medical Technician certificate. This includes 250 hours of class time, 50 hours of field experience (hospital, ambulance, and fire), medical, trauma, and random skills practicals, and NREMT registered EMT. She is currently a certified medical assistant in the state of Colorado. In order to achieve this she needed a year of job training. She currently has over 3500+ hours of direct patient care. Work Experience-Madison had worked at Longmont United Hospital for over a year. She provided in depth medical care needs to patients. While working she has had the opportunity to work with and solely in both General Surgery and Gastroenterology. She later got the opportunity to join the team of NeuroOne at St. Anthony's Hospital. Being part of a neurosurgery clinic allows for more hands on high acuity cases as well as trauma. Being so immersed with peoples medical needs she has gained great interpersonal skills. Team work is a huge portion of making a clinic work, this job has solidified her leadership and problem solving abilities. Some day to day duties are as followed vitals, triage patient calls, facilitating patient and provider needs, documentation, follow up care, ect. This provided her with the interpersonal skills to handle any situation. The great time management skills, organization, and communication skills gained can be credited to that.
