About Madison Baxter

I hold a deep-rooted passion for environmental issues ranging from emerging climate change issues to the exploration of innovative solutions for addressing the environmental hazards facing our people and our lands. Currently I am working as a RCRA Corrective Action Project Manager - overseeing industrial remediations of previously contaminated sites and facilities. I also serve as the Region’s Liaison with the State of Louisiana’s Department of Environmental Quality for Corrective Action processes and projects in the state. Building and maintaining working relationships is one of my strong suits and I plan to utilize these skills to help clear contaminated areas for re-use and rehabilitation. I previously worked as a Federal On-Scene Coordinator with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency based out of Region 10 in Seattle, Washington - specifically responsible for Whatcom, Skagit, Island, and San Juan Counties and the associated US/Canada border. I look forward to advancing in my career at the EPA and am proud that my position here incorporates scientific and political aspects while providing a personal growth experience in leadership and team building.
