Background

About Madison Conrad

I am a recent graduate from the University of California, Santa Barbara where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Studies. In pursuing my degree I specialized in courses and experiences surrounding environmental education, habitat restoration, and coastal and marine ecosystems. On campus I was involved with the Environmental Studies Program, Department of Recreation, Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration, and the CalTeach Together Club. Some of my favorite courses I took while at UCSB include Nature & Science Education Practicum, Sea Turtle Conservation & Species Management, Marine Resources, Teaching for Climate Change & Sustainability and Biodiversity & Conservation Biology. Since graduating, I have held a seasonal position at Project Oceanology in Groton, Connecticut as a Residential Marine Science Education Intern where I was able to combine my love for the ocean and marine species, with my passion for education and getting people connected to their local environment. This position has offered me the opportunity to continue my desired journey of being a lifelong learner!
