About Madison Ford

I’m a public health researcher and Research Coordinator at the Justice and Equity Research Lab, based at MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions (St. Michael’s Hospital). My work focuses on advancing health equity through community-based, mixed-methods research with people impacted by structural marginalization, particularly those with experiences of the criminal-legal system, problem gambling, homelessness, and poverty. In the Justice and Equity Research Lab, I support projects that co-develop and evaluate interventions to improve health outcomes and community reintegration. I work closely with people with lived experience, service providers, and policymakers to generate evidence that strives to drive practical, equity-focused change in health and criminal legal systems.
