About Madison Harmon

I’m currently working as a mental health therapist for Mather’s Clinic LLC. I have been a part of this company for the past year as I was working as a master’s level therapy intern. I have my Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Aurora University. I also have my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. While in college, I participated in two research labs and conducted my own Senior Honors Thesis study. I have 5 years of mental health experience with direct client care. I’ve worked with individuals struggling with a variety of mental health challenges such as: depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anger issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, and low-self esteem. I’ve worked with individuals ranging in age from childhood to mature adulthood. I also have 1 year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy where I worked under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA). My title was Registered Behavior Technician and I implemented treatment programs to young children with autism ranging from the ages of 2-7. My current position allows me to see individuals for outpatient therapy weekly. My clients and I work together to accomplish their treatment goals. I am passionate about mental health and helping people through a holistic, client-centered, and solution-focused approach. I enjoy the never-ending journey of knowledge in the world of evidence-based interventions and cannot wait to continue to grow in the field!
