About Madison Hoffman

Hi! I'm Maddie and I am in my final semester of the Master's Entry Program in Nursing at the University of San Diego. I completed my undergraduate degree at Santa Clara University in 2022, where I studied Sociology, Public Health, and Ethics. With a passion for working with children, I am seeking New Graduate Nurse Residency positions in the NICU, pediatric hematology/oncology, or other pediatric intensive care units. I am a highly motivated student nurse, eager to learn, and quick to go above and beyond to meet my goals and my patient's needs. While in nursing school, I have served in various leadership positions, such as Co-President of my university's chapter of the Graduate Nursing School Association, and a Sigma Theta Tau intern where I have helped coordinate volunteer events in my community. I am also a Ambassador for the USD School of Nursing to welcome and mentor incoming nursing students. By the time of graduation in May, I will have accrued 340 hours in the Level NICU at UCSD Jacobs and an additional 120 hours in UCSD Jacob's Medical Oncology PCU. I believe my clinical experience, along with my persistence and dedication to patients, will make me an excellent candidate for New Graduate programs.
