About Madison Hoyda

I am a recent graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Criminal Justice. My academic track provided me with a strong foundation in the life sciences, with an emphasis on microscopy, a field that fascinates me for its power to reveal the unseen complexities of life. Through a series of focused courses, I developed strong skills in laboratory techniques, including advanced slide preparation, staining, and quantitative analysis using R programming. To broaden my expertise and improve my understanding of biological systems, I also took courses in fish and bird biology. This work complemented my microscopy skills by providing a broader perspective on anatomical and physiological variation across species, enriching my ability to analyze and interpret microscopic structures in different biological contexts.
