About Madison Kear
As a type 1 diabetic, my passion has always been to help others with diabetes. I started my nursing career working as an endocrine nurse at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. Over my 2 years working as an endocrine nurse, I realized I wanted to be more involved in my patients care. In October 2023, I started a new position as a Diabetes Care & Education Specialist at the Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic at Capital Health. This position has taught me so much in the few months I have already been employed, and I’m so happy to get to continue to help others manage their diabetes in a motivating, empathetic, and innovative way.
