About Madison Knapp

I am a George Mason University B.S. graduate that has been working in the Public Health Field for over a year. I began working in the non-profit sector at the Learning First Alliance where I completed research and writings such as blogs and social media on public education. A notable achievement of mine at LFA was the development of radio advertisements on the music and podcast platform Spotify to address the Alliance's mission on routine vaccination. After building a great foundation at LFA I began working for the American Heart Association as an intern for their Youth Market where I recruited schools across the East coast and created marketing for the Youth Heart Ambassadors. After my term with the Youth Market ended, I moved to the American Heart Association's Community Impact team which is where I am currently working! Within the Community Impact team, I serve as a Grant Coordinator for a yearlong grant from the Healthcare Initiative Foundation where I am building relationships with community and clinical organizations to set up Blood Pressure Screening and Referral Stations! The Public Health world is rewarding and inspiring and I am proud to be growing as a leader in the field.
