About Madison Marketos

My name is Madi Marketos, and I'm from Dallas, Texas. I was lucky enough to receive a foundational education through the International Baccalaureate program at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. All throughout my childhood I grew up exploring, traveling, and learning both in the classroom and in the real world. These experiences are what paved my path to University of Texas at Austin. The goal for many is to become a change maker, and UT Austin has a successful marketing campaign. They say "what starts here changes the world" and as I chase a dual BA degree in Sociology and Rhetoric and Writing, I am lucky enough to explore all avenues of opportunity. Currently, I am in the Liberal Arts Honors program on the pre-law track in the pursuit of creating effective change. Yet I constantly crave opportunities that expand my perspective, that challenge me. My love for photography and film followed me to college and I continue to enjoy freelance work. I have also had the opportunity to write articles for notable magazines, brand designers, and a wide range of clients. I am an active leader and officer within UT organizations. I have worked for a nonprofit and lived in Peru during a social media and journalism internship. I have solo traveled on scholarship to shoot photography in the African bush. I have also had the opportunity to work under impressive trial lawyers that have led by an example of determination and perseverance. If I am one thing, it is committed. I am committed to my passions, constantly working to improve, expand, and know more. I am so excited to see where future opportunities take me!
