About Mafuzal Hoque

For over 5 years, I have been working in Wireless Telecom sector, 4 years in Radio Hardware Integration and Verification and currently in 5G Baseband Layer 1 (Downlink PHY). As Radio Integration Engineer, I worked with radio design domain teams to integrate new product releases (FDD LTE-AAS, 4TXRX) from link-budget to final product delivery, along the way, integrating for optimal 3GPP/FCC performance requirements through rigorous testing, analysis of results and re-tuning Digital Front End (DFE) features. Besides, product integration, I was also involved in debugging problems during volume production and enabled product maintenance handover. I constantly strive to fix product related problems beforehand and so I wrote numerous data analysis scripts to determine product performance trends from large regression and production data sets in MATLAB and Python. In addition, I assumed voluntary hardware Integration lab management role for my team, preparing 4G and 5G testbeds, training engineers, creating MATLAB automations scripts for manual testbeds, planning lab-budget, and overseeing day-to-day lab activities. To increase my depth and breadth of RAN, CU, and DU, I took challenging 5G Downlink Physical Layer 1 Software Developer role, with exposure to embedded multi-core software development experience.
