About Magdalena Hutter
Documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and photographer based in Montreal and Berlin. I'm a graduate of the University of Television and Film Munich, Germany, and have worked in film since 2007. In my documentary work I focus on projects about art and artists, as well as on themes of belonging. I'm a PhD candidate at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture at Concordia University in Montreal/Tioh'tà:ke, Canada, where I use my background in documentary film to do research-creation about fatness as method in dance and movement art and to develop frameworks for a Fat ScreenDance.
