My journey in medical laboratory science began with a deep curiosity about the microscopic world and a passion for safety, precision, and care. With a degree in Microbiology & Chemistry, I set out to bridge scientific excellence with real-world healthcare impact. Early in my career, I led teams at Al Borg Laboratories, where I served as Branch Manager and helped elevate lab safety and quality standards in a high-volume, patient-focused environment. That experience shaped my commitment to integrating Total Quality Management (TQM) into every facet of lab operations. I later earned a Post Graduate Diploma in TQM and specialized in Medical Lab Assistant training to further ground my hands-on expertise. Over the years, I’ve been privileged to teach and mentor future lab professionals at institutions like NAIT (Canada), the American University in Cairo, and Benha University, sharing knowledge on hygiene, lab processing, and biosafety protocols. From benchwork in hematology and microbiology, to PCR analysis and tissue processing, I’ve worked across a wide spectrum of lab environments. I’ve helped implement and validate major quality frameworks like ISO 15189, CAP accreditation, and internal audit systems. I’ve also collaborated closely with physicians, nurses, and cross-functional teams to ensure diagnostic excellence. Today, I serve as a Medical Laboratory Professional at Alberta Precision Labs (Mobile Services), and contribute to quality initiatives at Dynacare Insurance Services. I'm also a Certified CSMLS/MLA, trilingual (Arabic, English, French), and deeply committed to combining science, safety, and service in everything I do. I believe that safe, reliable lab services aren’t just technical—they’re a promise we make to every patient, every day.
