About Maggie Bricker

Good morning! I am Maggie Bricker, a genetic counseling assistant at Nemours Children's Hospital (Delaware). I am part of a small team that handles pediactric genetic counseling consultations from every department of our medical center. Medical documentation management, patient care coordination, and emergency assistance are my core duties. I am also a recent graduate from the University of Delaware with a bachelor of science in Biology. My concentration was in Cell and Molecular Genetics, and I am a double minor in Genetic Counseling and History. I graduated cum laude with a GPA of ~3.75 as of May 2022. The University of Delaware is an R1 doctoral university (the highest class of research activity for universities as per the Carnegie Classification.) I have clinical experience in a cancer genetic counseling center and a pediactric genetic counseling team (Helen F. Graham, ChristianaCare Newark DE; Nemours Children's Hospital, Wilmington DE) as well as paid research experience (Univ. of Delaware's Medical & Molecular Laboratory and Joseph Biden School of Public Policy). I have published my research before and would be glad to provide samples of my work upon request.
