In my current role as an Associate Director on the UVA Darden School of Business Communication & Marketing team, I’m accountable for helping deliver seamless applicant journeys through strategic, proactive, and targeted messaging. Truly, nothing energizes me like seeing our students experience “a-ha” moments due to the efforts of our caring, results-driven team. As a practical, self-motivated, and dependable professional, I strive to understand organizational goals and provide persistent encouragement and leadership in reaching them. I enjoy engaging in an organized routine, or, in other words, “planning my work and working my plan.” I am an attentive listener who enjoys exploring different perspectives when resolving problems and overcoming challenges to provide objective recommendations guiding strategic decisions. Some key achievements in this role include implementing processes and procedures to hit aggressive targets, steering effective email campaigns, and breaking down Covid-related barriers to expand recruitment efforts. Before working at UVA Darden, I served in several strategic roles at WorldStrides (a student travel organization), culminating with accountability for implementing multi-channel marketing strategies aligned with growth goals. As the Marketing Manager, I assisted with a rebranding effort to integrate an acquired peer company and effectively positioned products to engage specific market segments. One of my greatest achievements was completing my innovation-focused MBA in 2018 while working full-time. It’s been thrilling to apply all I’ve learned through rigorous academic study and hands-on experience to stimulate positive organizational change.
