Upon completion of her Bachelor’s at the University of Wyoming in 2008, Maggie received her Master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine in 2010. She decided to return home to provide services to those in the community she loves. Maggie has worked in a variety of settings, both in the medical field and educational based, which has allowed her to broaden her scope of practice and treat various disorders and delays, involving speech and language, swallowing, voice and cognitive-linguistics. Maggie became Apraxia Kids Recognized in 2019 and has completed DTTC (Dynamic and Temporal Tactile Cueing) and Advanced Apraxia DTTC treatment training with Dr. Strand. In December 2022, Maggie was one of 30 SLPs in the United States invited to the PRACTICE Invitational in Ft. Worth. This training provided extensive training by the top CAS researchers in the world in the diagnosis and treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She is also PROMPT trained and Hanen certified. Maggie is also certified in speech intelligibility treatment. She is devoted to delivering evidence-based practices to patients of all ages. As a mom (and as the mom of a NICU grad), she loves working with children and their families, carrying with her the understanding and experience of watching a loved one gain communication through speech therapy.
