About Maggie Richards

After completing a MSc in Building Surveying at the London South Bank University, I gained a graduate role in Building Control Surveying at Castle point Council before completing my Chartered status with the CIOB, in 2022. Proven ability in leadership, excellent organizational and administration skills, with experience in dealing with customers and high level workloads within strict deadlines, demonstrating, resilience, drive and determination in all roles. My day to day role includes examining and commenting on plans for new buildings, alterations or extensions, overseeing the work of contractors and providing them with supportive management inluding providing advice about construction safety matters and new building regulations. I make regular inspections of building work at various stages from commencement to completion while keeping accurate records of how projects are progressing. I keep up to date with relevant regulations and legislation, always keeping up to date with the latest training required. I also write reports and offer advise on cost and time saving measures during construction, without forgoing safety regulations liaising with other local authorities, planners, engineers and architects etc.
