About Maggie Thompson

I moved from Westchester County New York to Johnston County in June of 2017. Everything I have ever imagined life to look like exists here in the pastures and country roads. Although I grew up with the hustle and bustle of New York, I have always yearned for this laid back way of life. I love the access to mountains and beaches. North Carolina provides it all. My husband and I had been business owners for twenty plus years while in New York. We ran a successful company that served the public in our neighborhood. It is here that I developed a mindset for community and made use of my drive to serve others. I was greatly influenced by my oldest daughter's love for Real Estate as I watched her build her clientele in Long Island, NY. I thought one day I would love to do that. I soon took a position working as an administrative assistant for a highly merited and successful realtor in Westchester. I watched her from the sidelines and participated in her business building from behind the scenes. After relocating to Clayton, I continued to work remotely, however I began to investigate building a career in Real Estate for myself. I attended a school here in Johnston County and upon successful completion hit the ground running. You can take the girl out of NY but you cannot take New York out of the girl. I have been married to the same fantastic guy for 30 years. We are the very proud parents to seven kids and ten grandchildren. I love being a part of local church community. I have always had a passion for serving and working with people. I absolutely love to write and am an avid reader. I enjoy traveling and my favorite place to spend my downtime is either in my kitchen or on my back porch. I also can't get enough of the local beaches in both North and South Carolina.
