Background
About Maggie Winzeler
For 20 years, people have been my main passion. I’ve worked with individuals, companies and communities to improve women's health and wellness, and to increase participation in fitness and sports. This work has been deeply rewarding, especially since holistic health improvements at the individual level have the potential to impact the collective. Over the course of the last 8 years, I've worked with numerous startups and operated my own wellness website and services. At the same time, my most consuming job has been as a mother navigating 5 pregnancies, 3 live births, and over 4 cumulative years spent breastfeeding. This unseen work that women uniquely shoulder is noteworthy and valuable whether they have careers or stay at home. It's of the utmost importance that I mention it in the professional arena to reduce stigma and normalize talking about real life and the balance we must all find with it as professionals (both women and men alike). Women's wellness and its many complexities have weighed heavily on me through the years, especially as I look out into a world that still has a long way to go to support women's lived experiences. This brings me to the inception of my latest business endeavor Every Woman is Worthy®, a brand on a mission to elevate women through uplifting products and giving back. The business adopts a B-corp mindset relying on responsible manufacturing solutions for its products and aligning its mission with achievable and meaningful social impact for women. Honored to be featured in Shape, NBC News, Medium, Thrive Global, MyFitnessPal, Authority Magazine, The Washington Post Express, The Washington City Paper, Spark People, Mad Dogg Athletics, Peak Pilates, Tracking Happiness, Women’s Journal, Spinning, and more. Specialties: Women's wellness and advocacy, branding, leadership, lean start-up method, communications, marketing strategy, client relations, holistic wellness, community wellness, writing, blogging, fitness, and personal training.
