Research and teaching focus on economic geography, the real estate market, transport planning by using remotely sensed information. Expertise in quantitative geography specializing in spatial analysis of global sustainable development and land use development covering mainly Europe, East Asia and Africa. I have a special interest in processes connected to economic growth, land use development together with reforms of market systems in environments lacking conventional statistics. Besides my research, I devote time to consult and provide assistance to governments, private institutions, and international governmental organizations. Most recently as researcher and adviser for United Nation´s work to implement and measure Global Sustainable Development Goal using remotely sensed information.
