My name is Mahadeep Singla, and I am passionate about cybersecurity, particularly when it comes to safeguarding individuals and organizations security, including financial well-being. With a strong background in math and science, I have honed my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I am eager to apply in the cybersecurity field. I hold a Master of Project Management in Information Technology Security from Algoma University, where I developed a comprehensive understanding of networking fundamentals, common security threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management practices. In my professional journey, I have gained practical experience in several key areas, including: Threat Identification & Risk Management: Proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security risks to protect sensitive data and assets. Log Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitoring security logs from various sources (e.g, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect and investigate potential incidents. Security Incident Response: Leading incident response efforts using SIEM tools, providing daily summary reports based on security event analysis, and ensuring swift actions to mitigate risks. EDR & Vulnerability Management: Overseeing endpoint detection and response (EDR) protocols and performing vulnerability assessments to identify and manage potential risks. Malware Analysis & Digital Forensics: Analyzing malware and conducting digital forensics to uncover vulnerabilities and improve the organization’s overall security posture. I am committed to continuous learning and growth in cybersecurity. I am currently pursuing the Google Cybersecurity Certificate to further refine my skills and knowledge.
