About Mahin Tatari

I am a PhD candidate in Biostatistics at Sapienza University of Rome, currently entering the final year of my doctoral training as a statistical methodologist. My research focuses on causal inference, with particular emphasis on propensity score methods in observational studies, survival analysis, and treatment effect estimation.My doctoral work addresses an important gap in the existing literature by evaluating the impact of non-informative censoring on the performance of propensity score methods for both relative risk and absolute treatment effect estimation in survival outcomes.Alongside methodological research, I collaborate with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità (Italian National Institute of Health) on real-world cardiovascular outcomes research. This work focuses on 1-5-10-year outcomes of transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) versus surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) using large observational datasets and advanced causal inference methods.I have strong experience in R programming, simulation studies, survival models, and real-world evidence generation. I am particularly interested in applying rigorous statistical methodology to clinical trials and real-world data, and I am open to collaborations, contract roles, and postdoctoral opportunities in biostatistics and clinical research.
