About Mahsa L.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering as well as Master of Science in Engineering with a concentration on Radar Signals and Systems, from university of Alabama in Huntsville. While I was working on my B.S degree I was awarded a Boeing scholarship. The scholarship not only assisted me to obtain my educational goals, it also encouraged my engagement through professional growth and enhanced my experience and knowledge through new opportunities and led me to join the Boeing Company in October of 2011. Currently I am with the Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) team responsible for designing and building the Core and Upper Stages of the NASA’s Mission Space Launch System (SLS) that will be used to transport astronauts and cargo into Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Beyond Earth Orbit (BEO). Current position is the Core Stage/Upper stage Avionics Analysis Integration and Verification team Lead on the SLS Avionics Mission Systems Engineering team, While also pursuing numerous individual work assignments which contribute to all aspects of fight Vehicle system Integration. Beyond my regular Avionics analysis lead responsibilities, I Lead tasks that includes managing project schedule, budgets, resource allocation and proposals for Avionics Integration and verification team. I also actively pursuing internal projects to improve Avionics team morale, engagement, and efficiency. Regularly meet with teammates to discuss any employee concerns and support management in involving employees in discussions of Boeing internal engagement survey results as well as leading the team building activities. I am also currently member of Boeing Leadership Next (LX) Program. Over the past several months, LX program has inspired me to develop and Coach Others, Value Global Diversity, and to drive positive change wherever it is needed.
