Maia has worked with over 400 schools across the UK on EDI, delivering assemblies/workshops and mentoring teachers. Training business leaders, teachers, frontline workers and many community groups, her knowledge of EDI has enabled various organisations to enact positive change and behaviours in society. She has worked with Devon County Council, many businesses, politicians, and firms throughout her consultancy role. One of her key focuses in EDI consultancy work is ensuring organisations have long-term strategies with measurable goals and the knowledge/tools to implement them. She has been recognised as a leader in this field with a wealth of overwhelmingly positive reviews on EDI audits she has conducted. All audits have led to significant change across many sectors. Recently working for the Peace & Justice Project as Head of Economic Security, Maia used her passion to reach a wealth of communities. Maia strives daily to make long-lasting positive changes in society; she has various projects, such as a food bank that has delivered free food packages to over households to people in need within 12 months. Her work has featured on CNN, BBC, ITV, Sky, The Morning Star and other platforms. Maia has won the Ron Todd award for Equality and was featured in the Mirrors Top 100 Inspirational Women 2021. She currently sits on the Diversity & Inclusion Panel for ITV, is a Director of a community arts organisation, a Trustee of a social justice charity and works alongside numerous multinational companies.
