About Maida Kanwal

My career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for +6 years has taught me various skills and management styles working through different sites and with different patient populations. Immediately upon graduation from The University of Toronto and The Michener Institute of Education at UHN, I worked independently at a clinic in Vaughan. I was responsible for many little details as the clinic was open and running again upon my arrival; I managed the clinic aspect with inventory, scheduling, operating equipment maintenance, and coordination between physicians. I was also a technologist who prepared schedules, confirmed patient preparation prior to appointments, injected patients, imaged patients, and processed for the physicians. Furthermore, I worked at another clinic in Brampton for 2 years where I enhanced my knowledge and experience as a technologist. Working in Kitchener and now Windsor, Ontario has given me a wide spread of skills and understanding of the dynamics of a good working department. I have an extremely efficient work ethic where I value time management, efficiency, and overall productivity of the tasks at hand, all while maintaining and giving the best of patient care. Patient care will always be my number one priority as a healthcare worker. I approach challenges with a positive attitude and ensure task completion even in the most stressful of occasions. I strive for excellence in my career and I thoroughly look for better opportunities to exceed as well. Additional responsibilities include being a MIM Software superuser and a Preceptor to Nuclear Medicine students.
