About Maiko Kojima

CEO, Founder, and Author CEO and Founder of Crafter, an AI SaaS company acquired by Monex Group in 2022. After the acquisition, Maiko continued as CEO, leading product innovation and launching “Crew,” an enterprise AI search platform used by over 400 organizations, including 100 local governments. Crafter’s flagship product “CraftChat” (formerly ChatBook) was adopted by 300+ enterprises such as Yamaha, Adobe, and Sapporo Breweries. She built and managed a 50-person global remote team and raised venture funding from Salesforce Ventures, East Ventures, Monex Ventures, Z Ventures, and Voyage Ventures. Maiko is also the author of Textbook of Generative AI for Business (Gakken, 2025), based on insights from corporate AI leaders. Beyond her entrepreneurial work, Maiko serves as Chairman of the Women AI Initiative Japan and Council Member of the Generative AI Utilization and Promotion Association (GUGA), contributing to national discussions on AI innovation and policy. She was also named to Forbes JAPAN “Women in Tech 30”, recognizing her leadership in advancing inclusive AI adoption. Before founding Crafter, she co-founded and served as CTO at Primeagain Inc, where she developed over 30 mobile and web-based applications from ideation to release—one of which scaled to 5 million users. A self-taught engineer skilled in Python and Objective-C, Maiko bridges the gap between technology, product, and business strategy. She holds a B.S. in International Politics and Economics from Waseda University.
