About Maira Saeed

Maira Saeed began her journey as a behavior therapist in 2011. After getting her Master's in Applied Psychology from Middlesex University Dubai in 2012. Maira was one of the first few to get her RBT credentials in 2015. As an RBT, she acquired several critical skills such as assessing (FBA & language skills), running social skills sessions, toilet training, and specializing in managing challenging behaviors and implementing Verbal behavior protocol. In 2017, Maira Saeed presented a paper at the 47ABAI conference in Denver, and soon after, she decided to pursue her BCBA. In December 2019, she graduated with a Master's in ABA from BayPath University, U.S.A. In February 2020, Maira got her BCBA credentials. Immediately after getting her credentials, Maira enrolled in a Ph.D. program at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. With a total of 12 years of experience in the field of applied behavior analysis and working with individuals on the autism spectrum, language delay, ADHD, and Down syndrome (18 months to 17 years), Maira is skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously with a positive attitude and excellent at communication and collaborating with other paraprofessionals (School counselors, LSA, Doctors, SLP, OT, Psychologist). She clearly understands her role as a behavior analyst who believes in empowering therapists and parents with the necessary skills to benefit their knowledge and positively impact the client's overall progress. During her career, Maira has worked with over 60 families and has reintegrated more than 30 children into mainstream schools. Maira Saeed is also a Telehealth consultant and has successfully trained several therapists and parents (in person & Via-telehealth) on different behavior reduction procedures, collecting ABC data, managing problem behavior, implementing Verbal behavior protocol, toilet training, daily living skills (wash – dry hands & face, taking a bath, drying body). Other skills that Maira has successfully provided three girls training on menstruation and taught several clients how to use self-management strategies, functional math skills, reading, and writing. Maira used self-management strategies to make a significant difference in her lifestyle. Using the self-management strategy, Maira lost more than 62 kilos of body weight. Maira continues to disseminate the science of Applied behavior analysis by participating in panel discussions, staying up-to-date with research, and giving presentations on advanced topics in ABA.
