About Maisa Vuorte
I defended my doctoral thesis in late 2023 from Aalto University School of Chemical Engineering, Soft Materials Modelling research group, with my work centering around computational modelling of water-in-oil emulsions and lipid adsorption at solid-liquid interfaces. My major interests lie in the field of molecular modeling, with special emphasis on modeling of biomolecules including lipids and, more recently, proteins. I am also interested in programming in both Python and C, information visualization and statistics, scientific writing as well as ODE modelling of biological systems. I am an avid and hard worker and love to learn new skills. Despite the independent nature of most of my past positions, I am most open to collaboration and sharing of ideas in an open and interdisciplinary environment.
