About Maitreyee Mahajani

As the Sr. Vice President of NAND Front End Operations at Western Digital, I oversee the largest Giga-fab in the world, managing 700+ engineers and a >$1B annual CAPEX budget. My mission is to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative NAND flash products to meet the growing demand of the global memory market. I leverage my extensive experience in device technology development, large-scale manufacturing, and business acumen to shape the NAND supply strategy, drive technology transitions, and negotiate strategic contracts with key partners. I have been working in the semiconductor industry for over 25 years, starting as a process engineer at Applied Materials, where I developed and led various CVD and ALD deposition products and platforms. I served as the General Manager for ALD High K- Metal Gate and Plasma Nitridation products, with P&L and business development responsibilities. I hold a Master's degree in Material Science from University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from College of Engineering Pune, India. I have authored over 40 patents and received the YWCA TWIN award for women leadership in the field of semiconductors. I am also a council member of the Global Semiconductor Alliance Women Leadership Initiative, where I promote and support the participation and advancement of women in the industry.
