About Maitri Bhat

Ever since I could make sense of words, I’ve been fascinated by stories. The form in which I consumed stories grew with me but the desire to use fiction to make sense of reality stayed. It took me a year of working in travel & expense audit and unlearning a rigid self-imposed idea of professional success to confront what I already knew - I want to tell stories for a living.Combining that with my passion for service and curiosity about the impact and development sector, I currently work with GoodStep to build their brand of being a climate action & justice start-up through relevant partnerships, media content, and stakeholder management, etc. My love for stories extends beyond fiction to people, places & cultures, which is why I love to document my thoughts & experiences via write-ups on Medium.
