About Maja Gedda

My job as an Art Director can mean different things in different organizations. Broadly, my job involves leading the creative process, but the degree of responsibility and autonomy varies from client to client. Most often, I will work in a project team with a Project manager, a Copywriter, a Graphic Designer and myself. At times a photographer, illustrator, or developer will be part of the team as well. This tailor-made team varies depending on the scope and goals of the project. Throughout my career as an Art Director, I have provided creative strategies, visual directions, and hands-on design in a variety of creative projects. I love the varied nature of my job and the opportunity to work with other creatives to execute a shared goal.As my portfolio showcases, I have extensive experience working across a wide range of design disciplines, including brand identities, campaigns, editorial design, videos, websites, packaging and more.I have a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts London, and in addition, I have 20+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, and editorial design from England, Sweden, and Spain.
